Locanda del Borgo is a neighborhood Italian trattoria in Denver's Hilltop and Mayfair area — a warm, unhurried place that takes the ingredients seriously and lets the food speak for itself. The menu revolves around the two pillars of the Italian kitchen: pasta made by hand and proteins cooked over a wood-burning grill.
Antipasti, fresh pastas and risottos, wood-fired pizzas, meat and fish from the grill, and house-made gelato to finish. The wine list is Italian-focused, the homemade limoncello is a favorite way to end the meal.
Lunch runs Tuesday through Friday. Dinner five evenings a week, plus Sunday. Closed Monday.
